I used to work as a driver for Eurostar.
It would be 'Bonjour' in France ... and 'Bonjour' in England. Parisians can be particularly arrogant but this is not true of the whole nation. In the provences I've found the French to be most agreeable people.

We travelled a fair bit around France during our time in London and found the same. Great food, wine (although I'm more a beer boy), scenery, etc.
